Payson Dog Training recommends that puppies be kept from areas where they can be inadvertently exposed to disease. This includes public parks and other such areas with unknown potential for disease transmission until the vaccination protocol has been completed. This is especially important for avoidance of parvo virus.
When should my puppy begin training?
Puppies may be started in training at 4 months (16 weeks,) or after the last shots have been given.

Classes
Now's the time to get started with the basics of training! Even if you have attended other obedience classes it is never too late to learn new skills and techniques! Your coach Lee Grass is thoroughly qualified to guide you through the steps of working with your dog whether it be a puppy or adult, experienced or inexperienced. This class will cover the how-to of basic obedience, social skills and manners. Please call PDT for more information!

Obedience Skills
6 Weeks/Private Training
Your dog may not be quite ready to move forward until they have are doing well in their foundation work or until you have solved the major behavior issues such as reactivity. Use this class to tune-up your dog and improve your dog's responses to the commands. After you have worked on the basic program you may desire to dive in deeper with the obedience exercises and refine you and your dog's skills. This class is customized to fit your individual needs whether it be obtaining a perfect recall or sharpening up your dog's manners.
